two b-t curlews observed by myself and several others this afternoon at
Columbia south jetty. I was afraid this storm would move them north, but
hasn't yet. A few other highlights: wandering tattler on the rocks, several
flocks of brant flying over, and one fork-tailed storm petrel overflight
(not identified by me, btw).

A note for anyone going who hasn't been there before: take some waders
along. The best viewing of the curlews is beyond a couple of small streams,
quite do-able when the tide is out, but requires some wading if the tide is
in.
