Wednesday, May 13, 11:27 AM: Hi. Barry Levine (206) 526-8676. Today at the
South Jetty along the Columbia River, I was able to locate both of BRISTLE-
THIGHED CURLEWS. Tom Aversa and his partner, and I'm sorry I've forgotten her
name, also were there. One of the birds came within about 15 feet of where I
was standing. We were able to see them fly and also hear them call. A really
spectacular bird. Good luck.

Thursday, May 14, 2:41 PM: Hello. This is Marcus Roening, (253) 752-4009 in
Tacoma. Yesterday, in Olympia, 5/13, I was at the Percival Storm Water
Retention Ponds in Olympia just off of Black River Road and 101 and relocated
a SOLITARY SANDPIPER along with some SPOTTED SANDPIPERS that have been hanging
around there. Later the same day which would be Wednesday afternoon at
Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, I relocated two AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS
along with all three species of TEAL. Thank you.

Friday, May 15, 5:41 AM: Steve Dang, (206) 368-6887. As of 10:30 AM Thursday
morning, that's May 14th, yesterday, the two BRISTLE-THIGHED CURLEW were
still present as previously reported. Also on the Duwamish River in Seattle,
there was one OSPREY on the nest and another one nearby. This same nest was
active last year.

May 15, 3:17 PM: Hi. This is Bill Tweit (360) 754-7098. This morning the
WHITE PELICANS were still at Bowerman Basin. That's Friday morning the 15th.
Tom Schooley and I covered most of the outer beach from about a mile north of
the jetty to Copalis Beach - essentially driving the beach wherever it was
legal to do so - at low tide this morning and were not able to find any
BRISTLE-THIGHED CURLEW.
