of Mt. Shasta on U.S.97--at about 4500 ft. elevation:

Brown-headed Cowbirds
Ring-billed Gulls
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Eared Grebes
Ruddy Ducks
Redhead Ducks
Yellow-headed Blackbirds
Mountain Bluebirds
Ravens
Some hawks(too high-flying to identify) and.....
4 or 5 species of more common diving ducks along with zillions of
Coots!!!!!!

............Didn't have the time to do much hiking around, so I am sure
I missed other species of birds. So-o-o-o-o, off to Tule Lake, Calif.
