Sorry about not including my location in my previous post, just got so
excited! From the responses I have gotten, it sounds as if the white
breasted nuthatch is indeed rare around here. I live near Poulsbo,WA,
near the Hood Canal, 4 miles from the Bridge. I am glad to hear the
Olympic Peninsula birders are also seeing a few of the whites. I saw the
one at my feeder again today (Monday), just after the rain stopped.
