Tweets,
As birds fall into full swing for nesting, I'm looking for interested
volunteers to help fill some atlasing areas in the first year of Atlasing
Kitsap's Breeding Birds. This is to fill in the blanks left by the first
go around in the WA BBA. There are some great birds in Kitsap. I did 6
hours of atlasing on Saturday in the Green MT. drainage and had 42
species, 14 confirmed and such goodies as a pair of Hermit Warbler, heard
Mountain Quail, at one spot next to a stream with no traffic on a DNR
road, had a WArbling Vireo singing then flying to a nest, 3 male Tanagers
directly over my head and a pair of Wilson's Warblers nesting. Don't have
to be a super hot shot birder, just lots of energy and love of breeding
birds. Drop me a line if interested and I'll get you a block you can work
on.
Thanks,
