Just got a call from a friend who says a flock of *nine* Turkey Vultures
Cathartes aura went past her apartment (about 10 meters up over the roadway)
more between the buildings than overr them, planing on a strong westerly
breeze, last seen heading W over the old Justice Institute lands along W.
4th Avenue, in the Point Grey section of Vancouver BC.

It seems late for northbound vultures: could these be southbound
non-breeders and/or a 'club' of subadult birds of last year?
