Aaaack! Another vctim of the weird illustration numbering of the Madge and
Burns Waterfowl book!

Please disregard the previous ID post: it's wrong. It should have been
Australasian Shoveler Anas rhynchotis, with two races, the nominate being in
Australia and a New Zealand race variegata. As Scott doesn't mention mottled
or barred sides, it sounds like a bird of the latter race, illustrated as
106d on Plate 33, the shoveler plate.

Why just one 'l' in 'shoveler'?
