Tweeters,

I agreed to help a visitor from South America bird for a day while he visits
Seattle next week. He said he will "stay Monday night [May 25] in Seattle.
I'd like to ask you to recommend any hotel (not too highly priced, let's say
around $ 80 per night or less) within walking distance from either waterfront
or any major park, so that I can do some birding early on Tuesday."

Does anyone have any recommendations?

He also asked if I could take him to the Olympic Peninsula on Wednesday or
Thursday because he is interested in Hurricane Ridge (he would like to see
Blue Grouse, Red Crossbill, Northern Pygmy Owl, Varied Thrush, Pine Siskin,
Lincoln's Sparrow, mountain specialties). Any suggestions for other places?
What is the status of the Dungeness Spit NWR?

He also is thinking about taking a ferry to Victoria. Anyone willing and able
to help him bird if he visits Canada?

You can reply to me at stahlfelde at aol.com or directly to him (Walter Mankel)
at "wamacol at latino.net.co".

Many thanks for any suggestions.
