Is it better to chase birds or just stay and
see what comes by. Not sure if there is an answer. Last week we also
went to see the BTCU, saw the birds and many others and it was a
thrill. Today we only birded on our own place, had 24 species, one
new to the yard list.Again a neat birding day . I think we are like
most of you, just seeing the birds and enjoying them is what it is
all about. Thought you might enjoy the days list.
California Quail, House Finch, Starling, Black-billed Magpie(feeding
young), Ring-necked Pheasant with young, House Sparrow, Swainson's
Hawk, Bank Swallow, Mallard, Vaux's Swift, Brown-headed Cowbird,
Robin(feeding young), Black-headed Grosbeak, Spotted Sandpiper, Barn
Own, Ring-billed Gull, Wood Duck, Bewick's Wren, Black-chinned
Hummingbird, Northern Flicker, Great Blue Heron, Glaucous-winged
Gull(first time for the yard list), Black-capped Chickadee and
