The bird identification may have been off base on this, Tom,
but the rehab scenario could have happened. If the young
bird wasn't kept away from the nest too long, or if the parents
were still there tending another chick, they would likely
have accepted it back. If they were goshawks, however, the
rescuers and media attending the event were brave souls.
