My illusions have been burst! GREAT BLUE HERONS are giant, stately
garbage guts of the wetlands crowd.

Yuck! How undignified. Yeah, I'm anthropomorphizing, but how can
something that looks so dignified, eat a rat whole?! I figure that's
something a dumpster diving crow would do when it wants to "rough it".
