express it well than some of us.

I would only add in regard to Jack's comment

I think the growing lack of respect for other life forms is truly with our
own, rather than with animals used for scientific research. Witness the
three terrible episodes of children shooting children in the past few
months. Laws, education, and public sentiment have, I believe, lessened
much of the 'experimenting' if you will of 'other life forms.'
