At the risk of compounding the worthlessness, this is a perfect mnemonic for
both Black-throated Gray Warbler Dendroica nigrescens *and* Townsend's
Warbler D. townsendi, as TOWA sings this as only one dialect of several as
they pass through here in Vancouver BC.

Hey, ya wanna hear variation in warbler song, listen to a migrant wave of
male Yellow Warblers D. petechia: in the fallout yesterday, Bev Gordon, Mike
Beck and myself heard six variant YEWA songs, minimum: if only the little
demons didn't sound so much like redstarts half the time. BTW, wotta hoot to
see several Wilson's Warblers Wilsonia pusilla hoppiing around on the ground
with Golden-crowned Sparrows Zonotrichia atricapilla. One hot spot in this
current fallout-- the tennis courts directly adjacent to the Stanley Park
Bus Loop --warblers, flycatchers, sparrows, all more-or-less easily visible
from the park benches along Lagoon Drive above the courts.
