Hello Tweets:

This past weekend 4 of us birded Eastern Washington for 3 days. We saw 111
species, including 2 Golden Eagles. One adult flew over Wenas Lake on May 24.
We discovered two baby Great Horned Owls in a tree along Umptanum Rd. We were
most impressed by the two Long-billed Curlews that harrassed a Red-tailed Hawk
near the Pot Holes area. They all were vocalizing; started down low and
gradually gained altitude. One curlew would fly high above the hawk, and then
dive straight down to the hawk below. Quite a sight. There were immature and
adult Lewis's Woodpeckers in Robinson Canyon. Great Birding.
