Finally a nice sunny day!

The highlight was a racoon across the slough from the lake platform - our
first 'coon sighting at Marymoor.

Bird highlights included:

Pied-billed Grebe One egg at nest near lake platform
Willow Flycatcher First of the year
Western Wood-pewee Many, many
Swainson's Thrush Many, many, (as opposed to 1 last week)
Cedar Waxwing Returned in FORCE (as opposed to 1 last week)
Pileated Woodpecker One at the rowing club
Orange-crowned Warbler One at the NW end of the boardwalk
Bullock's Oriole At least three

Around 50 species again this week, with 10 that we didn't see last week.

On the lake, there was a possible Red-necked Grebe. ??? (Based on shape and
behavior)

We had a wonderful time watching the nesting Red-tails on the west side of
the slough, and the three Bald Eagles at the lake.

While we were at the Rowing Club on the west side of the slough, in a 5-foot
circle of pavement, we had Robin, Song Sparrow, Towhee, and Swainson's
Thrush all eating something off the ground. The Swainson's came within 10
feet of us, and stayed for about 5 minutes until we tried to walk around it!

BTW - I forgot to mention, but last week we saw two loons, spooked off the
lake by a seaplane.
