Oops. Yes, heterozgous is what I meant. And yes, genetics are quite
complex in their expression. Forgive me if you feel I
oversimplified, but not knowing the background of others reading the
message, I also didn't want to speak from the other extreme.
I also did not mean to imply that environment is the sole cause of
gene expression, and my use of 'environmental pressures' was intended
in the broadest sense.
In the end, I believe our points were the same, in reminding people
to carefully consider the variants rather than jump to an easy
scapegoat.
