Subject: RFI: Bristle-thighed Curlew last sightings
Date: May 30 23:09:22 1998
From: Mike Patterson - mpatters at orednet.org

I have the following last sighting dates for Bristle-thighed
Curlews. Please let me know if they are in error.

Ocean Shores- 2 birds May 23
South Jetty of the Columbia River- May 21 1030hr gone by 1400hrs
Newport- how many birds were really seen?
last date for the single bird May 14
Bandon(probably relocated New River bird)- May 23
New River - May 20
Crescent City- May 16
Point Reyes - May 23

Those of you who think you saw a Bristle-thighed at the SJCR on
May 22 were apparently mistaken. Steve Dowlan watched the bird
originally identified as a BTCU fly and confirmed that it was a
Whimbrel. Sorry about that.

I would also like corroberation of Eurasian Whimbrel at Ocean
Shores, Bar-tailed Godwit at Bandon(?) and Gray-tailed Tattler in
California.
