There are usually 20+ House Finches all over the model airplane field. Could
that be what you saw?

I have seen what a weasel at that same footbridge (maybe twice, I can't
remember), and last July 3, Brian Bell saw a weasel somewhere in that same
general area. We assumed Long-tailed based on what we read in books. And
they ARE cute.
