I visited Kent Ponds, south of Seattle, WA, Sunday afternoon, May 31,1998
and was treated to the sight of two Osprey, both with fish (trout/salmon
from the Green River, I presume). It wasn't clear whether this was a pair
or not. One was already atop a snag when I spotted the other flying from
the south. It paused on the high tension power line tower for a few moments
then flewy to the other bird's snag. They "cycled" through about 3-4 times,
one de-throning the other until one moved across to the west side of the
ponds and they both settled down for lunch.
