There is a lecture this afternoon entitled "How did birds evolve from
dinosaurs? (and how do we know?) It will be in room 321 Hitchcock Hall,
on South Campus of the University of Washington. It begins at 4:30. The
lecture is by Kevin Padian of the University of California at Berkeley.

If I can manage to attend, I may give you all a summary of the lecture
tomorrow.
