GODWITS and a BRANT.

Reifel had 2 NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWLS, an AMERICAN AVOCET and a HARRIS'

In a late report for Sunday, a single blue phase SNOW GOOSE was in a large
flock of snow geese on Westham Island.

An AMERICAN BITTERN was at Colony Farm. A SHORT-EARED OWL and a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK were north of Grauer Road on Sea Island. McDonald Beach
had an immature HARRIS' SPARROW.

In late reports, 55 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS were on the outer ponds at Iona
on Sunday and a CHUKAR was seen along the dike on Sea Island between the
gas station and McDonald Beach on Saturday. Confirmation of this
single-observer sighting is requested.

Sightings for Monday November 2nd

The MOURNING WARBLER was seen again today in the Cora Brown subdivision on
Sea Island. The bird's persistent, loud chip note is the best clue to its
presence. To look for this bird, park at Grauer and McDonald, proceed east
pass the log barrier along the lane and scale the dirt mound to the north.
Go past a water-filled tank, walk to the right along the old roadway and
follow the wooden plank over the ditch. A natural corridor of extremely
dense brambles and maple trees will be straight ahead and the bird is
usually found at or near ground level. A SWAINSON'S THRUSH was also seen
in the Cora Brown subdivision. McDonald Beach, Sea Island, had a HARRIS'
SPARROW and a LINCOLN'S SPARROW.

A BROWN PELICAN was seen in overflight at 264th and Fraser Highway in
Langley. The BLUE JAY was seen again at 6096 Inglewood Place in Delta.
Birders are asked to knock on the front door if they go to see this bird.
A BARRED OWL was seen at Montrose Park in Vancouver.

In a late report for Saturday, a female TUFTED DUCK was on the outer pond
at Iona.
