Good day OBOLs and Tweets;

I have just updated the VGI Vision Foundation's web site, and am
experimenting with including some range maps. On the B.C. Bird Highlights
page (http://www.visionfoundation.org/BC_1998.htm), I have posted rather
crude maps for Turkey Vulture and Sabine's Gull, and am planning to soon add
maps for Tropical Kingbird and Blue Jay.

In the short term, I would like to include information for Alaska, Yukon,
British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

I would much appreciate receiving the following.

a) Corrections to the two existing maps. If the information is forthcoming,
I will extend the TUVU map to include Oregon and all of Idaho.

b) Observation details for the four species listed above, to include date,
location, observer(s), numbers of birds, and special notes about the
sightings. In particular I would like to include the following:

TUVU
-observations of more than 30 birds at a time
-winter records
-breeding records

SAGU
-all observations outside the main range
-observations of large migrant flocks within the main range

TRKI and BLJA
-all observations

To save me time in pinpointing observation locations, please include one of
the following with your notes a) precise latitude/longitude (or UTM)
coordinates, or b) a copy of the range map with the location clearly indicated.

You can send your data to me electronically (mgs at vgivision.com) or by fax to
(250) 658-0084.

I look forward to your response.

On another note, I am relatively new to web page design. Therefore I may be
scripting things that you can't read. I already know that some browsers
(including mine at home) will not read the maps. I would appreciate hearing
if you have any problems, and if so what web browser (including version) you
are using.

Thanks.
