Hello Tweeters,

Got out to Boundary Bay again for a grebe count - just like last year the
vast majority of them have cleared out. Total RED-NECKED GREBES from 3
Boundary Bay sites was only 63 birds - down from a mid-September high of
over 2,500! Who has "my" RNGR now?? In spite of these being a relatively
common winter bird here, we know next to nothing about their winter habitat
use.

Also saw 2 EARED GREBES - 1 off 1001 Steps and one from Lily Point. And I
counted about 120 HORNED GREBES.

WESTERN GREBES have also vacated their Boundary Bay molt sites.

OLDSQUAW are really in in force now, along with the throngs of SCOTERS.

Have Fun!
