Hi Tweets,

I'd like to second (or third?) the positive reviews f
the new "large gulls" video. I've only seen about 1/2 of it
but what I saw was excellent. Can't wait to see the rest - makes
me want to get out there and mangle some ID's!
Also, P.J. Grant's "GULLS - a guide to identification"
is now available in paperback. I've seen it at various Barnes
and Noble stores in the Seattle-Tacoma area. Lastly, I'd also
second the mention of Kenn Kaufmann's secton on gulls in his
"Advanced birding" Peterson guide. I think
this is the best place for a novice to start. With these useful
learning materials the average birder should be able to go from
laridophobe to laridophile in a short five or ten years!
