Go away. We've had this discussion before. The list is NOT so narrowly
defined.

What if I said "I subscribed to this because I want to piss on creationists"?

Would my saying so define this as a list for browbeating them?

No.

Nor does your whining that you subscribed to talk only about birds
transform this broadly-defined list into a strict birding list.

Subscribe to OBOL if that's what you want.

You don't get to define what this list is. You aren't God, no more
than God is God, at least in the context some here post (i.e. that
God is a God that has lied to us by falsifying the physical evidence
to lead us into the heresy that the earth is more than about 6,000
years old).

If you don't like tweeters, e-mail Dan Victor directly and bitch at
him, not us. It's his list.

I moderate one photo group on the web and another e-mail list on
ecology down here in Portland, and I gotta tell you, it is the
list owner and/or moderator who defines the list...not Bob Bolton.

Because, while described as a list for folks interested in birding,
the list owner wisely has decided not to limit discussion to bird
topics only.

You're the last of a long line of folks whining that "I want this
to be a birding list, why isn't it?" when the real answer is "you
didn't subscribe to a list which is devoted solely to birding".

We like whining, though. It gives us an excuse to laugh at you.

Pretty much. We had a nice limerick war about three years back...

There's an easy solution to that - unplug your computer from the
phone line.

Or unsubscribe and read the digests whenever you're moved to do
so.
