Dear Tweeters,

I inadvertently sent my reply to Don Baccus regarding "OK, one more reply"
to: TWEETERS-owner at u.washington.edu (I had responded directly to him
before) (this is getting pretty ridiculous, eh?). Don't know what happens
to those messages - I didn't see it in my digest mode message this morning.
Hopefully it is lost in cyberspace because it is rather long - in
hindsight I probably shouldn't have sent it to the whole list anyway.
Maybe it will pop up later or maybe it has already popped up. My apologies
for the length of the message if it does. (Also my apologies to Don Baccus
for accusing him of changing his mind about whether to discuss the issue in
public or private - the delay effect of digest mode, and my apparent
inability to read the "TO" line in the email heading, confused my easily
confused brain! Sorry!) If the message doesn't show up and anybody really
cares about what my response was let me know and I will send it to you. It
wasn't any earth-shaking treatise, just my opinion and thoughts.

I find the digest mode nice for reducing the number of emails in my in-box,
but it does eliminate the chance to hit that nice delete key without
eliminating everything.

By the way, I am not in favor of censorship on Tweeters. Except that I
guess I was asking for self-censorship in asking people to discuss things
in a reasoned way minus personal attacks and bigoted comments. As they say
"If the shoe fits...", if the shoe doesn't fit please do not put it on. In
fairness, I probably have also strayed into the personal attacks mode,
though I have tried not to do so. Also, I think it is fair for people to
raise the point that most people are here for birding stuff (fun), and that
is something that one might take into consideration in deciding what to
send to Tweeters.

I am serious about my proposed psychology graduate project. I think it
would make an excellent study. Perhaps someone is already doing it.
