What call(s) are the Boreal Owls responding to at this time of year? I
understand that they only give the trill call in the spring but will
they respond to it in the fall (since it is the only call I have right
at the moment). Do i need to use the 'skiew' call to attract them now?
I hope this isn't rehashing old stuff - somebody probably mentioned
this before but I missed it.

btw we had a silent Long-eared Owl fly in and around in response to
either poor Long-eared Owl call or Barred Owl call immitations that I
was doing. This was up on Moscow Mountain (~5000 ft.) a few weeks ago.
We were able to see it as it was just dusk.
