Hi Tweets,

Mt. Chickadees areindeed fairly rare in the Western
Washington lowlands. I've averaged one per year reported to
me in South King county the last few years. In the last few
weeks a friend in West Seattle reported 2 at her feeder which
only stayed one day, and a young birder in Bonney Lake (Pierce
County) reported 4 at his feeder. He sent me a good description
of them which I requested, to make sure they weren't abberent-
plumaged Black-capped Chickadees. He also got some photos of
them which are in the mail.
