Hi, Tweets

It is now 11:20 and I have just returned from Everett where several of us
spent an hour or so watching and photographing the spotted owl. He is most
accommodating, i.e., he ignored us completely as he did the four attendant
crows. Actually, even the crows were a bit bored with it all, I suppose
hoping the owl would *do* something - they would periodically make some
noise and do a little half-hearted mobbing, then settle down in the
surrounding branches.

The owl has moved one block east on Hewitt, sort of in the middle of the
block. As I drove west on Hewitt, I could see it two blocks away. If you
want photos, bring a long lens and faster film than the 100 I had in at the
time. And, go soon, it looks like rain!

As an added note, pick up a copy of the Everett Herald. The owl and
article take up 3/4 of the front page. What a relief from the usual
Liewinski stuff!!

Cheers, Diann MacRae
