The City of Everett's notable vistor, a northern spotted owl, is still in town
as of 10 a.m. 11/18.

The owl, named "Spot" by locals, is now roosting in maple tree at Hewitt and
Rockefeller right across from Pilchuck Audubon Society's office.

We expect that Spot is a young dispersing owl in search of a new home. Perhaps
Spot has an old road map -- after all, there once was old-growth forest in
Everett!

Spot appears to be in good health, and has been eating.

For those visitors who would like to see Spot, just look for the folks with
the telescopes in Downtown Everett. Stop by the Pilchuck Audubon Society
office at 2829 Rockefeller and say Hi!
