Almost, its San Xavier Mission. If you stop there, go around behind
the mission where you'll find a playground area. We found some good
birds back there, and the nesting Burrowing Owl posed for some
close-ups (to bad the camera wasn't working).
On your way from Saguaro Ntl Park (I think I'm pointed in the right
direction, better find a map.) Check out the Sonora Desert Museum.
We stopped there, and while sitting at a table drinking lemonade, a
pair of Bendire's Thrashers came and sat on our table.
If you can, Ramsey Canyon is a good spot too. Elegant Trogons nest
there in summer, I don't know if they'd still be around at this time
of year.
Have fun!
