Todays Everett Herald had a short, tongue-in-cheek letter to the editor which I'll paraphrase. The writer says that while Seattle had its peregrines, Everett had one-upped them with the spotted owl until the spoilsport WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife played the Grinch and took away our bragging rights.
