I am just back from over a month in Australia, so have no idea what is
happening in Tweeterland. I am just resubscribing today. We visited
Lamington National Park and other areas in Southern Queensland, then up to
Cairns, Cape York Peninsula and Atherton Tablelands. Next was Ayers Rock
(Uluru), Kangaroo Island and Tasmania, including a pelagic trip. My bird
list for the trip was 340. If anyone has any specific questions about
birds or locations, I would be happy to try and answer them.
Barry, Chris Dahlberg remembered you, and said you were kind to bring a
book (or books) for him.
In our yard just outside of Stanwood we had a Mountain Chickadee yesterday,
a first in the 20 years we have lived in this house. As I said, I've been
out of touch, so maybe they are invading the lowlands this year and I just
don't know it.
