tweets,

I have been noticing the incorrect spelling of STELLER'S Jay (as Stellar's
Jay) a lot recently. Including in the Spokane newspaper. I don't mean to be
the spelling police here but I think that Mr. Steller should be given the
credit for the bird that was named after him! Okay - I should look up who
Steller was to complete this but I haven't - I know that Steller's Eider and
Steller's Sea-eagle were also named after him, perhaps Steller's Sea Lion
also? (I have this feeling that he was an Arctic explorer among other
things) Perhaps someone w/ the Audubon Encyclopedia can look this up. (Thanks!)

A question about the swallows that have been regularly reported on the
Vancouver RBA. Are these reverse migrants, lingerers, or what (or maybe this
is unkown). This sounds like a regular phenomenon.

Thanks, Charles.
