Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
recording was made Wednesday November 25. If you have anything to add

A possible ARCTIC LOON was reported from Yaquina Bay November 22. It
could not be relocated.

On November 22 a female GARGANEY was along Jackson Road at Brownsmead,
east of Astoria.

Heavy movements were reported along the coast during the week. Loons,
BONAPARTE'S GULLS, KITTIWAKES, SOOTY and SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATERS, and
some SABINE'S GULLS and BROWN PELICANS were observed just offshore. Good
numbers of COMMON GOLDENEYES were reported from many areas during the
week.

A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was along Oceanview Drive, south of Brookings
November 19. Two TROPICAL KINGBIRDS, some PALM WARBLERS, and a SWAMP
SPARROW was near Cape Blanco November 18. A CLARK'S GREBE was at Bandon
November 23.

Two OLDSQUAWS are now at Yaquina Bay, and another two are now on Meares
Lake at Tillamook Bay. The BULLOCK'S ORIOLE continues to be seen at a
feeder in Cape Meares Village. A FRANKLIN'S GULL was along Wireless Road
near Astoria November 20. Two SNOW BUNTINGS were on Clatsop Beach near
the Del Rey Access November 22.

An adult ROSS'S GOOSE was with a flock of Cackling Geese on Sauvie Island
November 19. A group of 36 GREAT EGRETS were in Scappoose Bottoms
November 21. Three CINNAMON TEAL and a late YELLOWTHROAT were at
Steigerwald Lake Refuge near Washougal November 23. A COMMON LOON, a
GREATER SCAUP, and several HORNED and WESTERN GREBES were on the Columbia
River in North Portland during the week. A SURF SCOTER was off Hayden
Island in North Portland November 20, along with a late BARN SWALLOW.

A very late OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER was at Bybee Lake in North Portland
November 19. A TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was near the Pittock Mansion in
Portland's West Hills November 22.

A female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was on the Willamette River near the
mouth of the Clackamas River November 23. It has remained.

A flock of 100 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS were at Simpson Park in Albany
November 19. A BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER was along Highway 99W near Finley NWR
November 22. A GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH was on the summit of Mt. Pisgah
near Eugene November 22.

A BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE and a WESTERN GULL were at the John Day Dam
November 22. Among the birds above the dam that day were a PACIFIC LOON
and a RED-NECKED GREBE.

On November 22 two SURF SCOTERS, 14 WESTERN GREBES, and three COMMON
LOONS were on Suttle Lake west of Sisters. Many BARROW'S GOLDENEYES were
also in the area.
