Just got back from a short jaunt to the Washington Park Arboretum here in
Seattle in search of the scrub-jays. Found at least two loosely associated
with some Steller's Jays at the very southern end right at the junction of
Lake Washington Blvd. E and E. Madison, above the se corner of the big
soccer field there. They were high in some cottonwoods but then dropped into
some hazel thickets at eye level. Also spotted Lady Peregrine on her perch
on the N power tower on the I-5 Ship Canal bridge.

Following is the bird list from the SAS field trip of last Sunday. We
started at the Montlake Fill, cruised through the Arboretum, then south
along Lake Washington to Stan Sayre's park, then to the Fort Dent Golf
Course for Thayer's Gulls, then on to the Kent Pond, ending up at Alki Pt.,
then Salty's inside Duwamish Head. Windy, showers, cold, but not half bad.
