Hi Tweets,

Tried to post this from work this AM, but for some reason never got through.

Just to pass on that yesterday (Wednesday) evening on their commute home,
co-workers (and non-birders, though interested in nature) Rob & Heather saw
a SNOWY OWL Nyctea scandiaca dodging cars on the Alex Fraser Bridge which
spans the Middle Arm of the Fraser River, linking east Richmond with North
Delta.

Their description--a very large white owl with a very wide wingspan and a
white back mottled grey, probably a first-year bird--eliminated BARN OWL
Tyto alba (also a 'big white owl' to most non-birders, with many in that area).
