Hello Tweeters,

I have come to a need to change my ways a little with respect to the
Washington Field Notes Column in WOSNews. In the past, I have saved
messages from tweeters and sorted through them later for record to include
in the column. Doing this take large amounts of my time. During the fall
and spring I regularly will have around 300 printed pages of messages of
field trips and assorted reports of birds that people make to tweeters.
With a new baby in the house along with other obligations that I have I am
finding it difficult to continue with this methodology.

My preferred way of doing field notes is to have people e-mail seasonal
reports directly to me. That way the number of messages that I need to
sort through is much small and more condensed.

So, for those of you that which to see your birding efforts contribute to
the ornithological knowledge of Washington State, I ask that you send your
reports to me directly. I will post a message at the end of each season
reminding all tweeters of the dead line to send me their reports. You may
also send me reports through out the season, as some of you already do.
