Sightings for Monday, November 30

An adult winter plumage LITTLE GULL was with Bonaparte's Gulls at the end
of the Iona South Jetty today and 2 SNOW BUNTINGS were along the jetty.

The NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was seen again today in Richmond. To locate the
bird, travel east along Finn Road from No 3 Road and park in a small layby
on the south side of the road at the first bend in the road. The bird is
frequenting a large apple tree in a yard across the road.

Reifel had a VIRGINIA RAIL along the outer dike, an AMERICAN AVOCET and a
NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL. In Delta, two SHORT-EARED OWLS were at the end of
72nd and a PEREGRINE FALCON was on a hydro pole along 36th.

Eight SNOW BUNTINGS, a WILLET and 20 BLACK TURNSTONES were along the
Tsawwassen Jetty. A BRAMBLING continues to visit a yard five km. East of
Vernon in the Interior.

In a late report for Saturday and Sunday a BROWN PELICAN was seen at Point
Roberts.

Sightings for Sunday, November 29

The Northern Mockingbird was seen on Finn Road in Richmond. A SLATY-BACKED
GULL was seen in a grassy field at 68th and River road in Delta and a
CATTLE EGRET was at 72nd and 36th in Delta. A PEREGRINE FALCON was at 56th
and Highway 17 in Tsawwassen and a MARBLED GODWIT and 470 BRANT were at
Beach Grove lagoon. Another 50 70 BRANT were between the Roberts Bank
and Tsawwassen Jetties.

Matsqui Trail Regional Park in Matsqui had a male RUSTY BLACKBIRD, 4 HORNED
LARKS and two HERMIT THRUSHES.

Sightings for Saturday, November 28

The NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was seen at Finn Road and Woodward slough in
Richmond. Two male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS were in a large mixed flock of
blackbirds at Finn Road and No 3 Rd.

A CATTLE EGRET was at 72nd and 36th in Delta. Two SHORT-EARED OWLS and a
PEREGRINE FALCON stooping on a very large flock of Dunlin were at the foot
of 72nd. A MERLIN was at 72nd and highway 10 and another MERLIN was near
Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. Two SNOW BUNTINGS were along the Iona
South jetty and a CASPIAN TERN was at the end of the jetty. Also at Iona
were a BLACK TURNSTONE and 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS.

Reifel had an AMERICAN AVOCET, a NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL, 8 BARN SWALLOWS, 3
CLIFF SWALLOWS, a VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW, a MERLIN, a PEREGRINE FALCON, a
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON and a SWAMP SPARROW.

A WILLET was at the base of the Tsawwassen Jetty and a GRAY-CROWNED ROSY
FINCH was on the north side of the jetty. Eight BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were
at the mouth of Cypress Creek.
