Rather a dark blustery day. Quiet too, but we still managed 40+ species.

The most notable bird was a beautiful male Varied Thrush. We have very few
sightings of Varied Thrush at Marymoor, but there does seem to be a tendency
for them to show up during early October.

First of the fall birds:
American Wigeon (2)
Common Merganser (3)
Ruddy Duck (1)
Golden-crowned Kinglet (3)
Fox Sparrow (1)

There were still plenty of Savannah Sparrows around, a couple of
Orange-crowned Warblers, and several Yellow-rumped Warblers. There were no
Cedar Waxwing or Common Yellowthroat.
