Hi tweets,

Given the recent discussion of the occurance of Pileated Woodpeckers in
the area, I just thought I'd mention that I added it to my list for
Shoreview Park this morning.

The sparrows were hanging tight this morning (probably because there was
a sharpie cruising around overhead when I got there) but the area below
the ballfield is a good place to look. I'll be back down there to look
for the White-throated Sparrow on Monday morning from 9:30-10:10 (looks
like it'll rain tomorrow).

I also want to say that I had the really cool experience to watch a
Golden-crowned Kinglet flare the bright red spot on his head from less
than 5 feet away as I was imitating a Northern Pygmy Owl.

Later,
