The fall birds are turning up in the yard in great abundance today with our
first rain in ages. ;
Juncos... lots
Song sparrows..... several
Towhees....several
Evening Grosbeaks ...several
Robins...lots but now they have completely striped the mountain ash
berries
Pileated Woodpecker... one
Band tailed Pigeon.....one
Flickers...several
Stellers Jays.....lots 6 to 12 around
Starlings....several but less than we have had around.
Crows.....3

Out on the ocean in front the scoters , grebes and loons are appearing
and we have seen several bald eagles passing by.
The Xantus' hummingbird has not been seen for about two weeks. Perhaps she
has gone or met her fate. She will be missed.
