A HERMIT THRUSH was seen by Laurie Ness in Chiawana Park (Pasco) on
September 21 and on the following day, Laurie found a BARN OWL near the
blind in Two Rivers Park (in Finley).

Also on 9/22, Patty Pollari reported a SPOTTED TOWHEE and a SAVANNAH
SPARROW in her West Richland yard and I (Bob Woodley) found a RED-NECKED
GREBE and a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in Groves Park (Richland)

A GREAT EGRET and 2 REDHEADS were seen on the Yakima Delta on September 23
by Nancy LaFramboise.

On September 24, Patty Pollari noted a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in her yard and
Scott Dietert saw a HERMIT THRUSH in his North Richland yard.

Another RED-NECKED GREBE appeared off Groves Park on September 24 and
remained until the following day when I also found a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW
in the park. (BW)

Carole Louderback reported a possible TURKEY VULTURE over Highway 395 in
Kennewick on September 25.

On September 26, Mike and MerryLynn Denny found a SABINE'S GULL and about
40 terns (2/3 Forster's, 1/3 COMMON) below Ice Harbor Dam. On the north
pond below Iowa Beef, they found a BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, an AMERICAN
AVOCET, and 3 RED PHALAROPES. While on the Walla Walla Delta they saw 37
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, another RED-PHALAROPE, and 3 BLACK TERNS. On
the College Place sewage ponds the Dennys found a late SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPER and yet another RED PHALAROPE.

On the evening of September 27, Bill and Nancy LaFramboise observed 2
COMMON POORWILLS, 2 BURROWING OWLS, and a SHORT-EARED OWL along Rotha Road,
north of Prosser.

Lastly, on September 28, Patty Pollari found a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and a
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in her yard while today 5 SANDHILL CRANES flew over
my (BW) yard.
