George Gerdts and I had an excellent morning's birding today -- lots of
birds, great weather. Highlights were a hatching-year RUFF with 2 Pectoral
Sandpipers on the shore at the 3 Crabs; also over 20 Semipalmated Plovers
and a young Northern Shrike. As reported earlier 5 MARBLED GODWIT at the
Dungeness Oyster House. Finally, a superb YELLOW-BILLED LOON from the John
Wayne Marina in Sequim Bay. It looked like an adult almost completely in
basic plumage. It's also worth stopping there for the close views of Marbled
Murrelet.

Good Birding,
