Hi, All -

Has anyone heard anything about a renewed effort to build a little
league field in Shoreview (Boeing Creek) Park (next to Shoreline
Community College)? According to a person I happened to start talking
with in the Park, there is supposed to be a city council meeting in the
Starton Room of the Shoreline Conference Center (1st and 185th -
18560-1st NE) at 6:30 PM tonight, at which they will be conducting a
workshop on versions one and two of the Shoreview Park Little League
field for drafting a final EIS. This sounds like the exact same idea
that was backed away from about 1-2 years ago, i.e., one option is a
baseball field in the "vacant lot" to the immediate west of the existing
ball field. Anyone who is familiar with the Park knows what that would
do to some very nice habitat. The other options were next to the tennis
courts, and in "some other park"(Cromwell?).

We were on the mailing list for this when it was being discussed before,
but now are apparently not. We didn't realize that this might again be a
possibility!
