Birders,
Today, Sat, at Crow Butte State Park, in SW Benton County, we saw:
a MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE, (rare for the county, found by Dennis Rockwell)
a SAW-WHET OWL, (rare for the county, found by Judy Stevens)
a LONG-EARED OWL,
several AMERICAN PIPITS, (surprisingly hard to find in the county)

nearby at the town of Patterson we found:
2 PINE SISKIN, (can you believe that was a county year bird for us! #215!)
1 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW

Be careful though. A much too close KILLER blasted a shotgun while we
were on the road into Crow Butte Park. Luckily he missed us & the
Bufflehead.
