Roger,

There have been both a merlin and a peregrine hanging around Husky stadium
for almost a month. The merlin first appeared about 3-4 weeks ago and has
begun hanging out there a lot recently. They each have different favorite
perches, so if you could let me know where it was sitting, I could venture
a guess. As we speak, there is a peregrine sitting on one of the black
support structures located outside of Husky stadium on the south side.

As for the mute swans, they are definitely around. A pair of them sort of
cycle back and forth between Portage Bay and Union Bay. The like to hang
out in front of the houseboats in Union Bay in midmorning.
