I led a trip for the Vancouver Audubon Chapter today, starting in
Washougal and going up to Dallesport, in Klickitat County. We came up
with the following 58 species:

PIED-BILLED GREBE, DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT, GREAT BLUE HERON, GREAT
EGRET, GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, CANADA GOOSE (1 albino at the
Dallesport Airport), WOOD DUCK, GREEN-WINGED TEAL, MALLARD, NORTHERN
PINTAIL, NORTHERN SHOVELER, GADWALL, AMERICAN WIGEON, CANVASBACK,
RING-NECKED DUCK, LESSER SCAUP, COMMON MERGANSER, TURKEY VULTURE, BALD
EAGLE, NORTHERN HARRIER, RED-TAILED HAWK, AMERICAN KESTREL, CALIFORNIA
QUAIL, AMERICAN COOT, KILLDEER, SPOTTED SANDPIPER, MEW GULL, RING-BILLED
GULL, HERRING GULL, COMMON TERN (2 at the Spring Creek Hatchery on the
Columbia River, in Klickitat County), ROCK DOVE, LEWIS' WOODPECKER, ACORN
WOODPECKER (2 at their granary tree near Balch Rd.)NORTHERN FLICKER, BARN
SWALLOW, STELLER'S JAY, SCRUB JAY, AMERICAN CROW, COMMON RAVEN,
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE, CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEE, RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET,
AMERICAN ROBIN, VARIED THRUSH, AMERICAN PIPIT, EUROPEAN STARLING,
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, SPOTTED TOWHEE, SONG SPARROW, GOLDEN-CROWNED
SPARROW, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, DARK-EYED JUNCO, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD,
WESTERN MEADOWLARK, BREWER'S BLACKBIRD, HOUSE FINCH, RED CROSSBILL, and
AMERICAN GOLDFINCH. We also had great views of the herd of YAKS above
Dallesport.
