At 5:14 PM today I am "almost" positive I just saw a juv. NORTHERN
MOCKINGBIRD in our yard. It was perched in a elderberry bush (tree) and
I got a straight on photo. I went to get the 2x for my camera and it was
gone when I got back so I didn't see the wing patches in flight. It was
facing into the sun and the barring on the chest was very light. I could
see the rounded tail with the white outer tail feathers, and the mottled
grey ear patch was very plain.

It wasn't a Shrike, Townsend Solitaire or a Clark's Nutcracker.

Have to wait for the photo.
