Subject: Skamania County Morning

There is a good movement of birds this morning at the 1,200'
elevation in western Skamania County. AMERICAN ROBINS and VARIED THRUSH
are swarming through our crabapple and hawthorn trees. A male GOSHAWK
chased a male RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER into a window, the stunned sapsucker
is in the house awaiting its hopeful recovery. I haven't noted either of
these last two species around for several months and feel that they may
be migrants.
